Projects and Content

Below are other projects, photos and videos I have made in my college career. During my four years at Saint Michael's College I was able to explore many different types of assignments and use a plethora of tools including multiple Adobe programs. This collection showcases these skills.

For my Global Communications class, our final project was to create a multi-media website outlining a country and their relationship with media and technology. This was a semester long assignment that required research,  interviews with citizens of the country, graphic design and applying skills learned in Adobe Muse and Dreamweaver to create a final project.

Here is a gallery of photos that related to a feature story and project for two separate courses. I had to not only take the photos and edit them in Adobe Photoshop but also write the full feature and create the layout in Adobe InDesign. The project followed the production of The Honey Tree which was written by a student at Saint Michael's College following the creative process and rehearsals leading up to the performance.

Senior Thesis Book

Final year Media Studies, Journalism and Digital Arts students are given a choice for their senior thesis'. You can either direct a film documentary, create a web documentary and website, or write and publish your own book. I decided to write and publish my own book entitled "Different Ways of Pushing Daisies: The Cost of Funerals and How Other Cultures Celebrate Life." This book was created through a year-long process of multiple interviews and extensive research on funeral and burial costs and traditions worldwide.

Christ the King School Internship

During my last spring semester of college, I took on an internship at Christ the King School in Burlington, Vermont. My responsibilities were to promote the school through social media and marketing. This means I was using HootSuite to create posts for our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, writing releases on events that happened at the school, and also taking pictures every day of the different classrooms. You can click the links to view the social media and also click the link below for an article photographed and co-written by me.

At Saint Michael's College, there is a photography contest called Global Eyes that is for returning study abroad students to enter. I entered my photograph entitled "Sails" and won first place in the Creative/Artistic category. My photograph will be featured in the 2018 Global Eyes calendar that is sold on campus.
