Involvement
Throughout my college career I have been involved in multiple clubs and organizations ranging from school ambassador positions to state scholarship organizations. Below are detailed accounts of the experiences I am proudest.
Saint Michael's College Tour Guide
I became a tour guide at my college my freshman year and held weekly tour spots from my junior year on. In addition to giving tours weekly, I also attended open houses, accepted student weekends, hosted prospective students overnight, and also gave welcoming speeches during many of these events.
Being a tour guide gave me skills in public speaking, adaptability, personal interactions and dependability. In my time at Saint Michael's I gave more than 150 tours to prospective and accepted students.
Distinguished Young Women of Maine
After receiving the title of Distinguished Young Woman of Maine 2013, I became very involved with the scholarship organization in the way of promotion and also contestant consultant.
My position is usually the first interaction senior high school girls have with the program. I call them periodically asking if they need help with paperwork, have any extra questions and to also give advice from my time with the title.
By participating in this program, I was able to achieve my goal of attending my dream school, so it’s an honor to be able to help other women achieve their dreams as well.
Dressing as Queen Elsa
During my junior year of college, a friend called upon me to help her during an alumni Christmas event by dressing up as Elsa and Anna from the movie Frozen.
For two years we have made a handful of appearances at different events dressed as the Disney royalty interacting with kids and creating many huge smiles.
I love getting dressed up and being able to make a child’s day and seeing the excitement on their faces. It has been the most amazing payment I could receive.
